Aleksandar (Alex) Kondic, M.D.

Alex Kondic, M.D., joined our treatment team in 2015 and has been practicing as a psychiatrist since 2004. Dr. Kondic was born and raised in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He began his medical training at Banja Luka in former Yugoslavia; however, he had to suspend his education in 1993, due to the civil war that began in what was then Yugoslavia. He completed his medical training at Charles University, in Prague, in 1998. Shortly thereafter he moved to the United States and completed his medical internship at Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, in 2005. Dr. Kondic finished the final leg of his medical training at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago in 2008. He has treated patients for a wide variety of disorders and has a special interest in attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder; anxiety disorders, including but not limited to, obsessive-compulsive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder; and the range of mood disorders. Dr. Kondic is trained in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and brief psychodynamic therapy. He is multilingual and is fluent in Serbian, Czech, and English. He is married and has two daughters. His leisure time interests include reading, playing guitar, and chess. Dr. Kondic sees patients in our Hoffman Estates location.

In Person and Telehealth sessions are available at BPA. Each patient and their BPA clinician would decide which one is the most appropriate to meet the patient's needs.
