The first appointment for everyone on our professional team is scheduled by a member of our office staff. Follow up appointments are typically scheduled by office staff, but can also be scheduled by your therapist or psychiatrist.
Please call (847) 303-1880 and press "0."
After each appointment, your therapist or psychiatrist will let you know when he or she would like you to schedule a follow up session. Please note that most follow up appointments with psychiatrists may be as soon as one to two weeks, when medications are first prescribed, and further apart once medications are stable.
Our therapists and doctors book up very quickly, so we recommend that you schedule your follow up appointment when you check out.
BPA does not guarantee confirmation calls. We do our best to make reminder calls, but there may be occasions when we will be unable to do so. We will be glad to give you an appointment card as a reminder when you schedule your appointment.
Although your psychiatrist may choose to write you a prescription for 3 months or longer, follow up appointments as indicated by your psychiatrist are still required. Our maximum time between appointments is 3 months (please check with your psychiatrist if you are unsure). If you do not follow up within that time, you may experience a delay in having your prescription refilled.
Please be aware that failure to follow up with a member of our professional team after a 6 month period of time will automatically result in your clinical case being closed, and may require a new evaluation if you choose to see your therapist or psychiatrist again.
BPA requires 24 hours notice for cancellations or the patient will be billed (please consult our fee schedule).
PLEASE CHECK IN WITH THE RECEPTIONIST when you arrive for an appointment. If you do not inform the receptionist you are here, the therapist or doctor will be unaware you have arrived.
